Job Post: Junior Account Executive

The Small Business Marketing Studio, a New York-based marketing and communications agency is seeking ambitious, reliable, and entrepreneurial account executives to grow our team. The team works completely remotely at this time, and we are open to candidates in different regions of the United States.

As a Junior Account Executive, You Will:
- Sell marketing services effectively with a healthy close and retention rate.
- Establish immediate credibility with clients based on past successes and develop an acute understanding of their business, marketing requirements and ROI objectives.
- Lead and communicate clearly with internal account support team and client to successfully execute programs based upon client objectives and to keep projects on track and within budget parameters.
- Manage internal and external conflicting interests as they arise; seek mutually beneficial problem resolution.
- Cultivate existing client relations and ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
- Help to drive the growth of the company through the development and establishment of successful and highly satisfied client relationships.
We Expect You to Have:
- Minimum 3 years previous sales and/or marketing experience, ideally in demand generation.
- Agency experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple clients.
- Ability to lead and manage client expectations and work effectively with internal account support team.
- Ability to work effectively within predetermined budgets and project fees.
- Passion for working with different types of industries, personalities and skill levels.
- Understanding of marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.), knowledge of other Martech solutions preferred.
- Strong project management skills and experience with working in PM tools (e.g., Asana).
Schedule & Hours:
This is initially a part-time position, and the hours are flexible. Successful candidates will be promoted to Account Managers, which is a full-time position with benefits, upon meeting their benchmarks within the first twelve months.
Compensation:
Initial: Hourly base $12-15 (DOE) + commission.
Full-time employees receive base salary + commission and bonus opportunities.
We do not cap commissions.

1. The Virtual Marketing Professional Program: Businesses are paired with a trained marketing professional from the military family or first responder family demographic. That professional works within the business to help them with their marketing needs.
2. The CMO Project: Experienced, executive-level military spouses and veterans are placed in rapidly growing enterprises in need of a talented addition to their C-Suite.
3. The Internship Program: Military spouses and veterans who have recently left the service gain “boots on the ground” experience in marketing to build their resumes. They work with real clients and gain on-the-job training from other veterans and military spouses with more experience in the field.
4. The Scholarship Program: A portion of all profits from The Small Business Marketing Studio go toward an annual scholarship program designed to help military spouses and veterans continue their education in the marketing field. Scholarships can be used for certifications, conferences, and other accredited activities.

The Small Business Marketing Studio, a New York-based marketing and communications agency is seeking an ambitious, reliable, and entrepreneurial recruiting professional to grow our team. The team works completely remotely at this time, and we are open to candidates in different regions of the United States.

As a Recruiter, You Will:
- Partner with hiring managers, source and screen applicants, interview for hourly and salaried positions, assist in job fairs and other outreach events.
- Possess considerable skills in interviewing techniques.
- Have a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in Human Resources.
- Have a basic understanding of the corporate and field organizational structure
- Have experience in managing Diversity & Inclusion centric recruiting practices in a corporate setting.
- Provide insight and recommendations to the management team regarding opportunities to improve recruiting practices.
We Expect You to Have:
- An understanding of the military family community.
- 2+ years of Staffing/Recruitment experience, strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to corporate staff.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team based project experience.
- Clear understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle processes.
- Must have experience on mapping and sourcing resumes from all sources.
- Strong vendor manager skills related to recruitment activities such as search firms and job boards.
- Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office and in depth knowledge of data mining and internet research
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Job Post: Proposal Specialist

The Small Business Marketing Studio, a New York-based marketing and communications agency is seeking an ambitious, reliable, and entrepreneurial proposal specialist to grow our team. The team works completely remotely at this time, and we are open to candidates in different regions of the United States.

As a Proposal Specialist, You Will:
- Assist in development of proposals and/or other documents describing The Small Business Marketing Studio’s products and services in responses to RFPs, including writing and editing, market research, data compilation, organizational chart development and spreadsheet construction.
- Ensure all RFP/Proposal responses are submitted on time by demonstrating a sense of urgency and initiative while at times working on tight deadlines.
- Routinely interact with and gather information from multiple internal departments in response to RFP’s or general client requests for information.
- Utilize core messaging, service positioning content and other materials to creatively develop and write compelling answers to the questions asked in the proposal.
- Assist in preparing presentations for RFP responses.
- Develop proficiency in the various RFP response portals used by municipal, state, federal and NGO agencies across the country.
- Maintain RFP tracker and success log.
- Regularly maintain all proposal content in an archive.
- Develop best practices for RFP responses and participate in professional organizations to enhance skills.
- Support tradeshow and other industry event sponsorships.
We Expect You to Have:
- Marketing Agency experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Business.
- Minimum 2 years of experience creating/responding to RFP/RFI documents or technical writing.
- Strong organizational, project management, problem solving and prioritization skills necessary.
- Well-versed in the 4 C’s of copy editing: clarity, coherency, consistency and correctness.
- Excellent presentation, organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and produce high-quality results with attention to detail.
- Experience working under tight deadlines.
- Motivated self-starter with the willingness to collaborate with others.
